In the late 80's, an old girlfriend of mine and I used to listen to Yanni's early music over dinner. Yeah, we loved rock and roll, but this was peaceful and wonderful and intimate, and because we lived together, this was often the last music we heard before we headed off to bed. After a couple of years, we broke up and I moved away with my job. It's now been 31 years. We are long since married to other people, and we have kids and even grandkids!. I have a wonderful wife that I love, and she has a husband of 25 years. I was in town on business recently and I looked her up online. We met for dinner. We talked for hours and reminisced about our years together. I played this music on my phone and for both of us, it was like 30 years melted away and we were both kids in our twenties again. We were young and wild and free without a care in the world. At the end of the evening, after a hug and a kiss that went longer than it probably should have, we both went back to our lives.

Who else has seen yanni in concert? I did back in the late '90s and to this day there is no other concert that has come remotely close to his. By far the best concert ever.
I wish I could describe what his music does to me. I "feel" his music in my heart and soul. It moves me like no other music has. His truly remarkable gift has been a gift he has given for the world to hear. Thank you Yanni for you greatness and unbridled passion for what you do!!

I discovered this jewel of a man's style of music when I lived in NYC. Purchased it in the old "Towers Records Store" on Broadway, not far from Julliard School.
