STORE TOUR: Shopko, Dubuque, IA

A tour of a very bland Shopko store in Dubuque, Iowa. This store originally opened in 1998 after Shopko bought a few stores from the liquidating Venture in Western IL and Eastern IA. The store features some amazing white walls and aisles of tissue paper.

Loved this video. Very nostalgic. Worked in that store through high school and college part time. Worked in the garden center outside in summer when we set it up in parking lot and electronics during rest of year. Met some good people sad so many of them lost their jobs years later. Great video!

Great video, I think it is perfect as it is. I liked the background music that you picked for the sections when you wanted to mute the Sounds in the store, and I did also like it when you didn't have any background music and it was just you walking around the store, and you could hear the faint music over the speakers in the store. I was young at the time, but I believe this was a Zayre's kefir it became a Venture's some time in the late 80s or early 90s. I am sure this is the case, as it's the only reason the word Zayre's exists in my memory.

Finally got to watch this. I got behind on videos. Such a shame that another regional retailer is closing its doors forever. I've been to the one dixon and it's nice. Question, I've been thinking about getting camera glasses for the stores I do. If you don't mind me asking, what kind are those. Great video.
