Elisabeth 'Sisi' of Austria · Living Behind These Castle Walls

Показать описание
*HD*
"Elisabeth was an emotionally complex woman, and perhaps due to the melancholy and eccentricity that was considered a given characteristic of her Wittelsbach lineage (the most notorious member of the family being her favorite cousin, the mad Ludwig II of Bavaria), she was interested in the treatment of the mentally ill. In 1871 when the Emperor asked her what she would like as a gift for her Saint's Day, she listed a young tiger and a medallion, but: "...a fully equipped lunatic asylum would please me most."
----
I think that part I found from wikipedia, is perfect description of Sisi in her late life. Her loneliness and life in court, drive her almost out of her head. I feel very deep sadness for her. She was taken from freedom of Possenhofen (her childhood home) and put to shape of Empress, without way to escape it. Also her relationship with mother-in-law/aunt Sophie wasn't easy at all. I also wanted to show it in this video. And she was adored by her people which is in this video too.
Even Franz Joseph was very loving husband all time, Sisi finally separated herself from him.
I'm glad they didn't show it or her late life in these mini (movie) serie, bc it'd definitely broke my heart. It was enough heartbreaking to try read "The Lonely Empress" book. Title tells everything.
----
So I thought this song would fit her perfeclty! I also put one voiceover, but because I'm not german genius, I can't write what aunt Sophie says, but in english it's:
- It was your fault Elisabeth.
Aunt Sophie blamed Sisi for death of her daughter, little Sophie. So cruel mother-in-law..
Again hope you like it! And if you read this description, let me hug you! - *__* -
