Survivor Series should be the annual “throwback” show; have an old school set, and production. And load it with elimination matches.

Depending on the talent & storyline, I think it can help. As for every year doing it, I am not so sure. However if you alternate every so often, it could work well.

Its very possible to do a good build on a match from Survivor Series up to Wrestlemania. The best example I can think of is Bret vs Owen at Wrestlemania X. Started with Owen's elimination in that Harts v Kings Court match.

Survivor Series is a special attraction card and should not be used for a WrestleMania payoff. To long of a build, we would get bored. For me, I say no.

I think it could be used to start the build for a WM match (Bret/Owen is a great example), but it should also be the blow off for the summer's feuds. (Taker/Mabel for example or Bret/Lawler) A Brand vs Brand show isn't conducive to either, though.

I think the brand supremacy concept at Survivor Series has run its course. They just need to get back to basics. Have 2 or 3 elimination matches. Then, in the main event, have the survivors of all the face teams vs the survivors of all the heel teams in the main event just like the old days.

I think survivor series would be much better suited to he a gimmick one time a year match at wrestlemania itself. Kinda like the Andre the giant battle royal, give it a trophy, put the brands against each other and have a trophy or something of that ilk. It would get more guys on the mania cards.
