It's gift giving season & this month we are tooling a cover that will go on a case for a BBQ set. As I tool this corner pattern I show you some of my favorite tools & adjustments you can make with the tools you may already have. If you would like this pattern to tool yourself, it is available in the Leather Life Community. There is a link below in case you haven't joined the group yet. Be sure to share a picture in the group after you tool up the pattern!

2 minutes in and you already taught me something. Man I hope to get as good as you someday. I like the Viking/Norse/Celtic designs the most, but I struggle SO much with the intricate cutting and stamping. I practice everyday and I know with enough time, learning, and practice, I'll get there someday. Thanks for your wealth of information on this subject!!!!

That looks like very satisfying work. The way you move the knife across the leather, I can almost feel it with you 😁

you are a really great teacher. informative without being preachy or condescending. thank you for sharing your knowledge. i have a question. how do you keep your leather project from moving around while tooling? especially when beveling. i have my weight that i place on it when i am tooling, but it still tends to move around, and it makes it annoying. your project did not seem to move much at all. how do you do it?

Thanks for the great instruction video. I can hardly wait for the attachment video because I have an old hard pool stick case I want to redo. It has a vynal cover and it would be nice to recover it with some fancy leather. Thinkin maybe airbrushing dye and a faded dye border. 👍😁

Why not push the metal to the petal for once 😁
No seriously, this is a very helpful tutorial with great insights. So thank you from someone who is just starting out with this relaxing hobby. Well, at least relaxing to me, let's see what the neighbours downstairs think of it in the long run...
