Analogy
How do I turn on the computer? You say, "Press the power button." This is because you are using a simple interface that the computer exposes to the outside. And inside it there are a lot of processes. A simple interface to a complex subsystem is a facade.

The Facade pattern provides a simplified interface to a complex subsystem.
