Watch stuff and learn and chill hi whatsup ⚔️👋🧐

Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through YouTube videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

Other actual emperors died gloriously in the East, but the average person doesn't know them, but they know Caesar. Had Caesar been ridiculously successful, he would have pulled a Cleopatra in Egypt, as Anthony did do.

Parthia is famous for being the place of death of Crassus (one part of th first triumvirate alongside caesar and pompey) in which the Roman army was destroyed by Surena - with a few horses and camels. Crassus, when captured (possibly given up by his own men) was mocked by surena by being made to wear women's clothing and was used as a foot stool for surena to climb on to his horse. he also had molten gold poured down his throat to mock his greed and love of money. The battle of carrhae is absolutely a video you should look in to commenting on in future

Caesar had a woman problem, but he could control it. Anthony had a woman problem and a drinking problem, and could control neither.

IMHO, both Cicero and Anthony were in the know, but got plausible deniability, even though both men were enemies. Cicero wanted to save the Republic. Anthony thought he was Caesar's heir. Caesar wanted to die gloriously, and in his megalomania ... conquering Dacia and Parthia ... was a barbarian too far. Caesar was far more famous as a victim of assassination than he would have been dying gloriously in the East. In an episode of Red Dwarf, Kennedy avoided assassination because of the bumbling of "the usual suspects" ... and since history was worse for his survival, he had to become the "gunman on the grassy knoll" to restore the timeline .... where Kennedy is far more important ... as a victim of Oswald.
