Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Japan are over 7,000 MILES apart from each other...but they have a lot more in common than you'd think! In this video I'm highlighting the differences and similarities that these two Universal parks share including some classic rides that USED to exist in Florida and experiences that are uniquely Japanese.

6:22 There’s actually an attraction that’s a block across Stage 22 called “Playing with Curious George” where you can interact with the titular character. Previously, the soundstage where the Curious George attraction is now located used to be the attraction starring Woody Woodpecker called “Animation Celebration” before it closed down in 2017.

I agree about dreamworks land in Florida. I felt like it was a budget land that was put together that could’ve been done a whole LOT better.

Getting rid of Back to the Future the Ride in any Universal park was a big mistake. I wish we could have kept one of them. Florida has ET, Japan has Jaws, but now none of them have BTTF. It should have been kept in at least one of the parks

I’ve been to both. Orlando initially took the lead with the expanded Harry Potter world. But USJ has taken the lead with the Donkey Kong Country.

The Ghiradelli facade in USJ used to house the Backdraft show from USH which are now both defunct. Also the Jurassic Park ride is the exact mirror image copy of the River Adventure in IOA. They stop the frozen variety of butterbeer in the winter cos it's "too cold".

Love it! Thanks for sharing! We must be about the same age because I remember Jaws vividly and I too would probably cry after riding it again. We are planning a trip to USJ one day. We wanted to try in 2025 but with our opening day Epic Universe tickets, it clashes with the timeframe we could've gone. We have a mission to visit every Universal park in the world but it's a little harder with kids lol. We just returned from Spain and we went to PortAventura World Park there. Universal used to own them and it's definitely evident. I'll be posting a video once I get time to edit it. Not the level of video of yours but just my own take.

Because they have jaws I’m gonna say Japan. FL’s studios is a shell of its former self. I loved classic universal growing up. Now I don’t even recognize the park
