Two lessons we can learn from Star Wars one never challenge Obi-wan when he has the high ground two never fight a Skywalker in a hallway

Seeing Luke dominate like that is one of the best things I’ve seen in Star Wars. That’s the Luke everyone wanted to see in the sequels

One thing I loved about seeing Luke, we were lucky to see the real time footage and then seeing it or at least small bits on the computer screen with Grogu watching, it was really cool.

0:20 She cuts the tree so perfectly that the top part lands on the bottom like it never happened.

What's most impressive is they managed to scale the power, talent and experience across the 3 main force users of season 2. Grogu is obviously talented, but he lacks training. Ahsoka is also talented, well trained and experienced, but had to fight tactically to overcome significant numbers of enemies. Skywalker is the most powerful jedi to have ever lived. Even with less experience and training than Ahsoka, he is still considerably stronger and comfortably holds his own, to the point where he just effortlessly glides through the enemy, crushing all who try to harm him or others. Ahsoka is wise and powerful, it is foolish to fight her. Skywalker is virtually unstoppable, defeat is a near certainty, regardless of numbers and firepower.

Somehow, I was just now more entertained than watching the previous billion dollars worth of movies... Why is this?

I love the difference between the fighting styles of Luke and Ahsoka. With the Togruta you have the twirling, graceful forms taught to perfection by the Jedi at the height of their power and sophistication during the time of the late republic; acrobatic, aesthetic and flowing like water – but also possibly *too* formalized and self-indulgent. On the other hand, we have the almost brutishly aggressive style of partially self-taught Skywalker – largely unrefined and workmanlike, but also direct and efficient; where technique fails raw power and matchless talent will carry the day.
Both are highly talented and both are tempered by experience, yet what each arrived at is fundamentally different.

The scene with Luke was very smart. They made it similary to the scene with Vader when he entered the ship.

That scene with the child flipping around the stormtroopers was pretty badass... and hilarious

Baby Yoda is not a Jedi yet. Not even a padawan. He's a youngling.

When Grogu didn't want to leave with Luke, Mando should've said to him: "Hey don't sweat it kid, when you come back, together we can rule the galaxy as Father and Son.

Love how the majority of the Force scenes are Luke and Ashoka. xD
The Jedi's are the ones that used the force the most.

Wanna know what makes the Force work in this show and why it doesn't in the Disney Sequel Trilogy? Underplaying it.

This is, admittedly, an issue that Star Wars has had for a while but one problem with TDST is how OP it is there where characters to amazing things that are likely NEVER GOING TO BE DONE AGAIN. Force Projection, unlikely. Force Dyed? Traditional Force bonds are less convoluted. Super Force Lighting, not a chance. Learning how to use the Force in less then two days when other characters need a few years at least? The Mandalorian has already pointed out why that's contrived.

One of the things I like about the Prequel, the Clone Wars, the Original Trilogy and the Thrawn Trilogy is that while the Force gives you a great advantage in combat it doesn't make you a God. Take a good Star Wars story where the Jedi were SUPER OP, the 2D Clone Wars series. In that show we had Jedi literally destroying whole armies with their bare hands and it was so over the top that Vol. 2 had to town it DOWN and it was still silly. If the Jedi are this powerful why bother with a Clone Army at all, they can just destroy it in under a weak.

Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars showed that as tough as a Jedi is they aren't THAT powerful and need an army to fight an army. To quote Qui-Gon "I can only protect you. I can't fight a war for you."

Now I give 2D CW a pass because EVERYTHING was OP and Over the Top it's part of that shows charm and wouldn't be the same without it and obviously it was great otherwise we never would have gotten the 3D series. And 2D CW also stuck to what was established in the films (Force Push/Pull, Lightning, Force Jump and even Force Sprint) instead of introducing new powers that can only be used once because (insert contrived reason here).

While Luke, Ahsoka and Grogu are powerful the opponents they're going up against are ones who've not seen a Force User in a while and everything they do is a rather standard power. The one exception is the bit where Grogu uses the Jedi rock... thing... to contact Luke and I do find that a little weird but it still makes more sense the Force Projection idea which is SO STUPID!!! Seriously that's more lethal to the user then taking a bolt of Force Lightning to the Face.

But yeah, I like how the Mandalorian underplays the Force instead of turning it into this Deus Ex Machina plot device that does whatever the plot needs it to do at that moment. Again, this is an issue that has happened in other Star Wars stories WAAAY before Disney entered the picture (Jedi's could FLY and I think even shot FIRE).
