It's obvious it was on purpose. She said "This isn't Jimmy Fallon?" Plus, she would have been a lot more embarrassed and caught off guard if she was serious. She would have tried to justify her inability to remember where she was at the moment somehow. But, nice funny jab at Ellen!

I think she was joking. The way it's set up and the way she was obviously acting dumb. Besides, they wouldn't have put this clip up if it was real, unless she has a horrible publicist and agent.
