Toyota midnight blue is the classic 90's paint code. Sandy taupe always looks good but midnight blue is true old school cool.

I worked in forestry all my life, spaying equipment, tractors, fire trucks, tankers anything with a motor basically, often in remote areas and the number one cardinal rule of the keep it simple" you have nothing to break or to try and fault find.

Bro I always got gassed when 24/7 dropped a video. But your production and sense of humour and quality. No one on YouTube like you bro never change. Best 4x4 channel period.

Just spend the 3.5k on Multidrive's track correction if he wants it corrected. Rated to 3780 GVM. No bearing issues which he'll always be thinking about, no insurance risks and no risk of passing a RWC when selling.

My dream troopy! 5 seater and the exact colour! So excited for this build! Also the price tag is ridiculous but troopies are so cool!!

Cant wait to see how the budget build works out guys. We’ve been waiting for the track correction for 17 years Toyota. I’m waiting for these to go on sale in my next life 😅

Excellent Ronny! Great timing for me - I have a Sandy Taupe one of these on order from Toyota (due about March 25).

Can't wait for this one, I hope it really stick to the budget and a realistic build! Hope to see some diy stuff too!
To many unrealistic builds out there that are unrealistic for most!

I am very interested in this project, as I too transitioned from a modified Prado to a Troopy.
Every time I did a modification inside the Prado the available space reduced significantly.
At the finish, I realised that I was working on the wrong vehicle platform and swapped to the Troopy.
I heard Ronny’s comments about the narrrow track on the rear axle, but did not appreciate this fully until I spent four days on K’Gari (Fraser Island) and experienced the rear axle wandering, which was uncomfortable and very concerning indeed - honestly, think I will be looking at a rear axle conversion to address this, it was that bad.
I have my higher cabinets, fridge and table on the left (port) side of the vehicle and the awning is this side too - this just works so well. I also have a rear door table for quick coffees and sorting out gear.
I did fork out for upgraded seats, but went for Stratos, which were cheaper and included adjustable spring suspension.
One thing I have done, which works well is to be able to access all sorts of items from the back doors. Molle panels from Mission 4x4 and matching pouches, plus Velcro’s pouches from Aussie Outback Supplies have made this possible and very efficient.
I look forward to seeing how this build progresses and can’t wait until Harry Fisher gets a Troopy too!
Okay, that’s a bit of a stir, but isn’t that what makes YouTube fun?

i bought the arm traveler from his website all the way from Bahrain, very nice product and comfortable . This guy is a genius and Toyota needs to hire him for aftermarket parts . i wish he could talk about the LC 70 series V6 petrol ( Short Base ) which is popular in middle east

Ps we had a troopie trakka conversion for years. Best tourer/overland vehicle. Just the right size.had a screened enclosure which attached to the rear and opened up when you popped the roof. Offered shade and a bug free environment. Kinda like an oz tent screened enclosure. You gunna have a lot of fun

I still can't get passed what these sell for and the little you get for your money. Then you got to do some modifications on top plus some comforts...Personally I would never buy one even if I was financially able too...Fair enough you get a bare bones platform to go nuts on, but that's my point these should be 50k vehicles, that would be more realistic...

Can't believe anyone is actually buying new troopys considering how expensive and under equipped they are
