I mentioned this already, but Matt Hill, Kira’s original English VA, was kicked in the groin by James Corrigall, the voice director for the Ocean dub, to make Kira’s crying more believable, compared to the SpongeBob SquarePants cry done by Soichiro Hoshi.

Million times better than Max Mittelman's portrayal of Kira, even Chantal Strand's concern voice for him as Lacus in this scene was better than Stephanie Steph's voice.

Decided to re-watch Gundam Seed since I was in high school many years ago. Only to discover that dub is now called the Ocean dub and is lost to the darkside of the net. Next time I return to Australia, I must retrieve the DVDs for Seed and Destiny, AT ANY COST!

Sad thing about it is that I'll still gladly take, with no trace of a single regret, the Canadian dub of this scene shown here alone over the entirety of Soichiro Hoshi's work of the same character. Hell, maybe I'll just take it over any of the latter's voice performances. Still inconcievable to me Matthew Hill unironically got kicked in the balls by the very man behind the ADR voice direction for this show, James Corigall as a question to make this scene feel real to the viewers and survived like it was the biggest life-or-death phase he ever had in his whole life. Gotta feel bad for this poor guy, at least he had the courage to know he will survive it anyway.

Im lucky enough that i own the Complete collection of Gundam Seed on DVD with the Original Dub. The Newer Dub in my Opinion Sucks Ass

Matthew Hill 🇨🇦is a better voice actor of kira yamato. Not max mittleman🇺🇸 from Funimation. Plus Funimation wasted billions redubbing. Also max mittleman fixed the crying scene. Worst part I totally predict what max mittleman voice acting personality would sound like.
