Chris here - just to elaborate.
Not been a fan of Mr Beast's content for many years now, but like most Youtubers I just ignore it all and thankfully his videos never appear on my homepage.
However, seeing him partner with Logan Paul, a man who's done nothing but awful act after act for almost a decade now just made me snap.
It may have been six years but I still have the dystopian fucked up image in my head, of Logan Paul vlogging himself in the Aokigahara forest, mocking somebody who was quite literally hanging from a tree before him. And rather than do what any decent person would do, and show compassion and immediately switch off the camera, he recklessly and selfishly exploited it for views. He carried on filming. He joked about it. And then he actively uploaded it to his channel.
And while I believe in forgiveness, Logan Paul hasn't exactly reformed his character. He's not a changed man - barely a week goes by without a new headline of some outrageous, awful shit he's actively partaken in.
So to see the world's largest Youtube gleefully partner with a man like that and endorse them to an audience of tens of millions of kids is something that just sickens me, all in the name of some disgustingly tacky food product, again aimed at children. I'm not sure what counter argument he has up his sleeve this time, but you can be damn sure he'll exploit his 'altruistic' philanthropy the first chance he gets.
It's a sad world where acts of charity are no longer selfless acts of kindess, but corporate defense mechanisms deployed in the face of legitimate public scrutiny.

I am 33 and I agree with Chris. I think the majority of our generation (millennials and early gen Z) agree with his assessment of MrBeast. Sadly though the majority of Beast's viewers are younger gen Z and gen alpha. It's simply because we are not his target audience and there is nothing we can do about it. They are fucked.

Never had an issue with Mr Beast, then he partnered with Paul and KSI and I honestly lost almost all respect for him. The saying goes “You are the company you keep” and it speaks volumes in that case

You have to admire that Connor and Chris never caved in to the "pressure" of liking Mr. Beast purely for being the most popular creator on the platform, so this is not them jumping on the bandwagon, but rather feeling validated that they were right in their dislike of him. This was a great talk, and it's hard to argue against anything they said, since their points are BASED. Jacksepticeye was right when he said Mr. Beast destroyed YouTube, because now everybody just goes after clickbait content and shock value, rather than just having fun making videos. There is no joy anymore, because everything is a copycat and all is just too metric-centered. And all his charity work has always been extremely performative--not so much about helping people, but rather about RECEIVING CREDIT AND ADULATION for helping people.

As a blind person I have come to hate that Mr beast cured blindness video. He did not cure blindness. He paid for cataract surgery and that video ended up spreading a lot of misinformation on the topic.

Am I one of the only people who believed in MrBeast's charity. I believed that profiting off of charity was fine, as long as you are geniunely doing it for good. So I was fine with him filming it and stuff.

Turns out he was just a businessman whose brand was to make people believe he was a charitable person. Before Dogpack404, I never would have known all the shady stuff that this guy was doing.

It was a massive mask off moment. On hindsight, being friends with the biggest youtube cryptoscammer Logan Paul. I thought he was just a random associate for YT videos.
