You give much credit to Goenka on Vipassana meditation. He wasn't the one who "discovered" it. I hope you know that. It would have been more appropriate and much appreciated if you had mentioned that the Buddha used this method of breathing "Aana Paana Sathi" to attain enlightenment (Nirvana), long before your teacher!. Perhaps you could mention it in your next edition of the book.

Hello Mr.Harari, I have started to read your book (I just finished prologue), it is good readable also in my native slovak language. Only one notice else: It is said that socialism is the first stadium of komunism.. I would say it finished fashism and socialism, because states as Soviet union and also Czechslovakia were socialist countries (SU-SSSR from 1922 and CS-ČSSR from the year 1960).

I am quite sure that the way we handle information with our visual media will in the end destroy easily all your efforts.

Neil postman's books which were successful in the eighties persuaded me of the relevance concerning information, media and the ability to act purposely.
Or being able to come rationally to conclusions.

Meaning: in the end you will be entertainment for some months.

So I think that this complex is the most important.

Paramount because otherwise we are surely doomed.

Media is an instrument of manipulation in the hand of people who do not care about or do not understand the consequences.

Overpopulation, environmental issues being the most acute.
