Hey levelcap if you see this I just wanna say I’m happy to see you covering a game I play in 2023, I was dedicated to watching your videos since the old battlefield days in bf4 and it’s nice to see you covering something I can come back to again, big fan and love your videos

That salvage mechanic, and being able to install upgrades on the fly is huge. Gives me a reason to go out looking for stuff.

I gave up 1 week into 3.18, pleasantly surprised with how smooth this patch is. There's still a few issues, like terminals locking up here and there, but overall it's a good experience.

Every Star Citizen Video on Youtube: MASSIVE Improvements! The Game now works 2% of the time - but it looks good!

3.19 comes with some serious issues, and without a character reset to help. The worst, I think, being loss of your ship if you claim it but don't fetch it from ASOP. Next time you log in it will be gone, permanently.

Man I swear every video about Star Citizen claims something massively groundbreaking has changed

Mining has never been less laggy when changing power levels.

Agreed, increasing insurance and prices when bugs are still the primary way of losing ships is bad, also, need more things to do at major landing zones and stations before making losing your ship so punishing

I love that your are covering Star Citizen. I know you only checked in on it time to time over the years but now that its part of your main content and you have gotten to engage with other content creators is amazing. I jumped on 3.19 once I heard it was live after the chaos that was 3.18 and took a Reclaimer out on the new salvage missions. It was a smooth experience! Keep up the great work and look forward to this and your Battlefield content.

the servers have been so bad recently that nobody could even spawn a ship

Started playing 3.19 today.
Since many people praised the stability, I've loaded up all my paints into a ship and took off from NB. 500 meter above the starport I suddenly exploded for no visible reason. Went back there and there was no cargo box with my stuff.
So I kept playing without any gear. Had 3 30k errors in 5 hours of playing.

To be perfectly honest it still has issues but yes overall this 3.19 launch is much much better than the disaster of 3.18. All good stuff.

This patch has been absolutely fantastic in terms of frame rate.
Loading in, instantly having smooth frames of 60+ I didnt have a single time where they dipped, even when spooling up my QT!

Actually, it's ridiculously bad.

My summary since the 3.19 patch:

Double clicking doors that won't open first time.
Fleet manager reloading after clicking on "Retrieve".
Ship spawning in wrong hangar. Went back to store and retrieve again. Had to claim ship. Claimed ship 4 times.
Went for first salvaging session, full cargo, blew up in Quantum.

Second attempt, loaded ship to the brim, mouse in game doesn't work (tried the right shift method, Alt-Tab, Windows Tab to change sensitivity, ** buttons, nothing worked.)
Got a friend to get me while stuck looking one direction.
He landed the ship and we made 91.2K each.

Tried again, character died as soon as I stepped off the rails in space.
Fourth attempt, went to salvage and just blew up when flying to a salvaging area in CRU L5.

Honestly, 3.18.2 was heaven before Xeno Threat and better than whatever hellish afterbirth this patch is.

Hey man. Blocker isn’t a synonym for “bug”. It’s a term used internally at a software company to describe a type of bug that causes them to hold back a new release. You will never see a “blocker” by definition. Nice video, I’m getting excited to try the new
Build

I was lucky and joined a fresh PTU server last week. Server FPS on 30 solid. AI was working really well and actually a challenge while not being laser accurate. Hope we see this more often!

This video aged as well as the servers during IAE... :(

We have to ground ourself in realism still here. The way patches and other updates are being handled is some of the worst management I have ever seen a gaming company handle their product. I’m noticing a trend of RSI updates with the same occurrence of releasing some tweaked (not fixed) mechanics and some new ships, but then overhaul on complete server shutdowns and utter chaos with bugs. This really needs to change.
