This was such an informative, enlightening and inspiring presentation, Marty, As a retired educator at both the PK-12 and college levels, I'm so encouraged to learn all the UMASS is doing to make education more accessible. I too believe that there will be a huge return on investment and am proud that UMASS is at the forefront of this effort. I applaud you and all the MA educators for their forward thinking and commitment to educating all students.

And here we are the students of the University of Massachusetts global who live in Massachusetts can’t even get our state grants, but yet during the pandemic, the university of Massachusetts Boston and Amherst and Lowell were using the university of Massachusetts global online system, and they were still getting their in-state grant money.

You have more students in Massachusetts attending the university of Massachusetts global then any other students and yet we cannot receive in-state grant money how does that even make sense? The state that we live in owns our online university and we can’t even receive our grant money for in-state. That’s the number one reason why students do not want to attend and current student want to leave. It’s a very bad business move.
