White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took questions Monday after Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered a guided missile submarine to the Middle East and told an aircraft carrier strike group to speed up its arrival to the region. Fears of a wider war in the region have been growing since the killings of Hamas' political leader and a top Hezbollah commander.
