Great ideas in this video, but one thing that Zero didn't mention is that, the better you are when you pick up a secondary, the LESS TIME it will take for your secondary to reach your main's level.

Lets say there's a scale of 1-100 for overall skill, 1 being someone going to their first tournament ever and 100 being Zero after he won 50 tournaments in a row. If your main is at a 50, picking up a brand new secondary will be around a 25, and you can get them back up to 50 with not TOO much time honestly. But taking that secondary AND main to level 60 is going to take awhile.

Meanwhile, if you are at a 90, your secondary, no matter how little you've used them, can get to 90 in almost the same amount of time as it would've taken you to get from 25-50 in the first example. That's because your overall fundamentals, game sense, and general matchup knowledge have carried over to your secondary.

I personally think it is better to "git gud" first then you can switch to anything you want, but I am coming from a Melee background where people rarely break into the top 30 while dual maining so you can take this with a grain of salt =)

Yes, I'm aware Kamemushi went Cloud and Yoshi, but all of his wins were with Megaman. Which is why I count him as a Solo Main for this tournament, because all of his wins came from one character. ANTI at CEO won many different sets/games with different characters, as such, he counterpicked.

I thought the best strategy was press b, roll, and taunt with Link.

Note that the rate of improvement with a character will follow a logarithmic curve. The more hours you put into a character the slower the rate of improvement will get. It is good in terms of practice time to have pocket characters for match ups, as you can get them up to a decent level of competency for tournament play.

Hola Zero! Big fan. I'm from Mexico. Hope you read this ****
A few advices from your last videos, hope they help:
1) Sometimes you take a lot of time to make a point.
2) A lot of times you repeat yourself. Try to think your vierwers are smarter and they get your point with one (2 at the most) time you make a point.
3) Taking back the Left white panel for subjects will help both you and the viewers to keep track and organize your arguments. Additionaly it will help to avoid the previous two points I listed above.
4) For some videos, don't ONLY focus on your point of view, it will be of more help to the smashers to understand the entire panorama. Example, this video: Counter picking is not only something that a player should decide just because they want to. If I listened correctly, you missed to mention that (besides wanting to) a player should consider at least these internal factors to know if counter picking is convinient for him/her: ability to switch styles, understand the mental game/habits of yourself and specially your oponent, ADAPTATION (requires the two previous ones), and the technical skill (physical, coordination).
That is it.
To clarify, I enjoy a lot you vids, man. Those are just some areas of improvement. Hope this helps!
Saludos, hermano ✌

Nice Hoenn music ZeRo. It's very relaxing :).
I actually am having a maining problem atm. I used to Co-Main Tink and King Dedede backed up by two secondaries, Zelda and Wario. I went with this setup for a while until I realized it wasn't cutting it, so I started trying out every character in the roster. I'd pick up some, drop some, but I couldn't move forward because I never felt anybody cut it except for King Dedede and Toon Link. And that's where I'm sitting now. But I believe that picking two characters with different designs can bring you far.
