Three months ago, I leased a silver 2025 Jetta SEL with the brown interior. I love it! It's fun to drive, has great feature content and the gas mileage is outstanding! I got over 43 MPG on a trip (approx. 78 MPH). It is a little louder at speed but very comfortable and has great features and content. It is also a lot more fun in the corners than you'd expect. I am VERY pleased and happy.

Great review Roman! I love that the 2025 Jetta comes standard with blind spot monitoring in all trims! The 2025 Toyota Corolla is more expensive (especially with the dealer markup & pre-installed accessories common with new Corollas)and yet it does not come standard with blind spot monitoring or push button start. VW is also offering $1000 customer cash in my area on new 2025 Jettas plus an additional $2000 dealer discount which makes them even cheaper! In my area of Texas, a new 2025 Jetta is $5000 cheaper than a new 2025 Corolla!

Good review. Just bought a 2025 a couple weeks ago. I purchased a white (all they had) Sport trim example. Traded in a 2017 Golf Alltrack S. Comparing the 2 models, as with life, you gain some and lose some. Gained: all LED front lamps, lit grille and headlamps, ACC and the hardware/software that it supports (collision warning, etc), blind spot monitor, all electronic instrument cluster, auto ac. Lost: leatherette seats, cornering/fog lamps, hood struts, LED interior lamps, power driver's seat, leather wheel.

What you said about car costs so high is spot on. As usual there are other costs to cars after the MSRP. I missed the higher trims with the panoramic sunroofs because of that, but mechanics tell me to stay away from them lol. Overall very satisfied with the purchase, and enjoying going about 50% further per tank.

7 seconds Zero to Sixty is very respected for the segment.

I love the Jetta but it has to be the GLI since it’s the last one with a manual transmission option.

Buttons everywhere, nice, VW did a 180, at least with these cars. Still a few haptic, but more buttons especially on the steering wheel.

Thanks for the update Roman! Been driving Jettas since 15 now 51. My parents have own Jettas since 1982 and i grew up in them. Corolla and Jettas have been. Compared for decades. My opinion is they they are both great cars and both can go over 2k plus. Jettas have to be taken car and yiu cannot be cheap. Again Thanks Roman! Been watching your show for a while.

I'm leasing one of these (SEL model) and overall I'm happy with the vehicle. The dashboard has a premium look, the acceleration is actually very good (especially passing on the highway), and the gas mileage is amazing with over 30 MPG city. That being said, the quality of the backup camera is awful and the back door interior quality is poor. I'd rather have back doors with a premium soft touch feel than heated rear seats that no one will use. It also lacks rear vents in the center console which should come with a $30, 000 car.

Have it down to this and a Mazda 3 2.5 S Preferred. I think the non-turbo Mazda is gonna pull it out. I have a 15 Jetta S no turbo and thing has been a tank. Always have a soft spot for VW

Glad the Jetta still has the LSD and Manual options in the GLI. One feature I used to love in my MK4 GLS was being able to open all the windows from the drivers door entry key. Do the news still offer that?

The new 2025 design looks great. I'm sure it drives well. On the downside, there's far too much gloss black inside for my taste, especially all over the touch points. The haptic climate control is a horrendous idea as well. I'm also leary of the reliability in general.

A great deal for the $$. I actually bought a brand new 2024 Jetta SEL in late Sept. 2024 as the new 2025s were coming in. I like the 2024 model better as the infotainment is incorporated into the dashboard and there is not as much glossy black plastic in the cabin. Same engine and the rest as the 2025... best part of it... I drove it out of the dealership for $25K TT&L included with only $500 down payment. I say... if you can find yourself a 2024 check them out and consider them... they are just a bit different in the front fascia but not objectionable.. the back of the 2024 looks like an Audi A4.
