But will the physics engine changes? like grenade and other.
because in CS:GO when changing from 64 to 128 tick physic calculation differs

The devs are definetly gonna claim theres no notable difference, which is maybe true for console but definetly not for pc at 144fps or even less, also a lot of the dying behind corners lead back to the 20tick rate.

But what about those servers when you are playing on 240hz or above. Those few frames of difference may make a difference that you feel. If I play another game and then return to Apex, there is a noticeable difference in the feeling of the game. I'm only assuming this is server related

So I finally know why I die from what feels like literal miles from around the corner. Not only do the servers just suck, but they are actually causing frequent deaths this entire time due to the fact that they were much worse than I thought. I always told myself that my ping must've been bad, but no, 20 ticks is stupidly low for a multiplayer shooter like this.

They dont know if its worth it? Of course its worth it. Until you hit 60 tick rate servers desync is pretty obvious

This is assuming 50ms and 60hz. Most PC players are probably playing 100fps or higher. Having played CSGO on 64vs128, there is a noticeable difference. 20 tick rate is partially to blame for no regs. Your client thinks you hit someone, shows the animated, etc but the server disagrees and thus noreg.

I've seen community servers in Battlefield games with more investment than the Apex servers

Not only that but the number pf servers as well, for exemple for me who lives in north africa there are so many options in valorant like Paris, madrid, bahrain, frunkfurt ext ext while apex the closet one is in belgium and it is horrible

Wonder what the math is for a 120 refresh rate with 5ms ping and 100ms ping. And 240 for same 5/100.

Me and my friends, 40 old farts that still play a little at night, have been complaining since we started playing the game. We're not pros but we're not amateurs either, we all share the opinion that this game is the only one we feel some of the bullets are just dry bullets, they don't get registered. When we discovered the tickrate used, everything made sense. The most arcade and fast paced FPS at the moment has the lowest tickrate of them all. Isn't that interesting?

I've been asking for the possibility of playing with highet tickrate. I HAVE to try it. I have too. And, if I really feel the difference, which I'm almost sure I'll do, I will stop playing the game.

This is the second game in my life that I really, really enjoy. The first one was Tactical Ops, similar do CS but wih movement because it began as a UT Mod.
They managed to create this game, with such complexety and creativity, they had to balance so much stuff, made an almost perfect game, just to fuck it up in simplest things.

They won't change the tickrate because the volume of data, blablabla. Couldn't they use another engine? Too much money and time to learna new one? Ok. But what about now, after all this billions, B, Billions, can't they remake on a new engine? That would fix a lot of issues and make their work easier in the future, no? But EA, right? Let's keep giving them 160 euros for skins and banners.

I left apex to play other games and when I came back, I realised that I wasn't the problem, the problem was apex and it's servers. I haven't played apex ever since that day

Even though having better tick rate on a “remastered version” of the game I really think actual apex is very fun, a lot of people will probably disagree with me but the fun part about apex is knowing how you died and learning and overcoming your failures. Death isn’t nessisarily bad but a good way to learn fast. Yes 3 stacks aren’t fun but the fun part is taking apart those 3 people and doing seperate 1v1s and using cover correctly to seperate the damage as well really makes a team shook. It’s ok to take breaks but the fun part is the climb, it’s still a little funny when I no reg a full mag into a enemy😂

They weren't fine in 2011, and certainly aren't acceptable now.

20 tick rate is absurdly low, 60 tick is the most minimal for fps game.

Is Apex really worth it to play then? If these are the responses we keep getting probably not. Seems like as an excuse not to spend any money on their end to enhance the health of the game. Not to mention the "in their findings" as if they aren't more variables you can add to that equation to change the final result
