Are the Chicago Bears starting to break Caleb Williams?

The Chicago Bears have broken young quarterbacks before, and it feels like Caleb Williams is starting down a similar path as Justin Fields and Mitch Trubisky.

It's not too late for the Bears to turn things around, but it will be up to the next head coach to make sure no more damage is done.

I've been watching the bears since berkus and buff one roamed Wrigley field and I always watch the QBS feet and since the sixth or seventh game he just hops in the pockets always moving his feet hes scared to set and let rip it's called happy feet and it's hard to loose it once it starts see jay Cutler trubinsy Fields it's all the same now

I complete disagree. Putting Caleb in danger by scrambling to win meaningless games for a group waiting to be fired would be stupid.

Break is not the word

Lowering his mid ceiling is more accurate

Worst among 468 QBs
Williams has the worst completion percentage on throws of 15+ yards among 468 quarterbacks over the past 15 years.

Man i want the following phrases never uttered again until it is shown beyond a suspicion of doubt (feel free to add your own):
Cole Kmet is a solid blocker
DJ Moore is a bonifide #1
Leader of men
Good culture / Good lockerroom
1K yds receiving
4k yds passing
Franchise QB
Top 5 or Top 3 anything, at any positional group
In the playoff hunt

My hope is dashed, very jaded.

Saying the Bears "Broke" Caleb means you are one of those people who got sold the "Generational", "Just add water day one" narrative by the overhyped media machine that loved his "Style". Maybe, just maybe, Caleb isn't that good in the NFL and will never be that good, sort of like Trube. In the current narrative, it's everyone's fault except him. He's about to be better than Mahomes just like we were promised, he's almost there. NO!

At least the Bears 🐻 are still better than the Jets

I realize Caleb is a rookie, but clearly he is playing like a rookie. I find it really odd, that Tyson Bageant played better as a rookie but is easily dismissed as a career backup. Had Bageant was the starter this year we might be a playoff team. Flus would still be here. The expectations on Caleb were stupid ridiculous, and blaming everyone but Caleb is just dumb. Now, if he doesn’t improve next year there will be calls to trade him for a sixth round pick. I’m ready to write off this team more because the fans and media are merciless. Green Bay doesn’t put these kinds of expectations on any of their players, and seem to understand the realistic process, and what good coaching looks like. Caleb will be great, but obviously he needs better coaching, just like JF did. As it stands right now, the Bears probably would have cut Curt Warner, and trade Tom Brady after 2 years…..
