ESCAPE ROOM IN A BOX, A BIG BOX!!! | DIY Homemade | Boxes 1 & 2

This isn't some tiny little store bought $30 Escape Room in a cardboard box, it's a real deal, at home Escape Room...In a Box, a BIG box. My dad made us this DIY homemade escape room in a box, actually he made 2 DIY at homemade escape rooms...in boxes. Each at home escape room in a box has around 10 or so boxes, there are a bunch of different kinda of locks , puzzles and clues. We've been sharing these portable escape rooms with friends, everyone is really enjoying them. To make a portable DIY homemade escape room in a box at home you need a few things; boxes, locks, puzzles, clues and the toughest part...putting things together in a way that minimizes confusion and sets an order and makes sense of it, plus around $200 or $300 if you don't have a bunch of durable boxes and locks and stuff to use for the puzzles and clues. A variety of locks is great, we have combination locks, directional locks, 3 digit and 4 digit locks, key locks, word and letter locks. They're set in a way that if you read the clues you have a pretty good idea what you should be working on next and not just aimlessly trying to enter solutions. Some of the homemade escape room boxes are by themselves, others you have to open a box and then find another box inside of it, and sometimes even another box inside of that. The puzzles were fun, there is a range of items and logic, the first box was mostly problem solving, the second box had more code breaking,while they have some similarities, they are pretty different from each other and each was a blast, taking anywhere from an hour to two hours. The puzzles probably were actually easier though than standing back and figuring out what order to set everything up in, boxes and locks, so that people could get through things without everything being confusing, escape rooms should be challenging and make you think, you should be defeating the puzzles, not the organization.
This video doesn't get into details of the puzzles and other aspects of putting together a box in great detail, we have plenty of friends still waiting for it and don't want to drop any spoilers, well, at least not too big of spoilers, there are a few hints to some of the puzzles.
