Today we are refilling my M Graham watercolor palette. Changing out a few colors & swatching.

I decided to add my favorite Sennelier and Daniel Smith Indigos and a few other Sennelier colors that I love to have in my daily watercolor palette.

I see you do have some good archival watercolors! The only M. Graham I use are some of their gouache colors. M. Graham and Sennellier are both great colors. After seeing your duck I'm happy to see you have good gear and you learned from Steve Mitchell! :)

You can try contacting M Graham's customer service about the cobalt violet. They're usually really good about replacements/etc if you have issues.

I've never used M Graham but I've experienced the same issue with my old paints. I will suggest you to crush it, add some binder to it and mull it again. Cuz I've tried to put big chunks into my half pans and.... They didn't re-wet really good :")) But if your paint actually works fine with what you did then you can go with that!!

Anyways, I love the way you really put the process of thinking in the video and not just went for aesthetic purposes. I don't really mind with the madness cuz I think it looks more realistic and that's okay, I do the same 🖐️😂

Surprised no one mentioned it yet, Oto Kano posted a video about this in vlogmas... last year? year before? She contacted M Graham about the cobalt violet and they said they knew about the issue and sent her out a replacement with no issue. She actually had a lot of trouble getting any color out of the dried paint.

I like M Graham colors but some of them are always just so wet they are difficult to have in my palette, especially my travel palette. Have you had the same experience? I have the Quinacridone set too and I love it, the colors are beautiful. But the Quin Violet is always wet?

I’m bummed they have upped their prices. This is the one paint I don’t have and wanted to buy. FYI to clean old pans I soaked them in water and dish soap for days and removed sharpie writing with rubbing alcohol and they are like new
