Let's understand API in brief

Application Programming Interface (API) is a software interface that allows two applications to interact with each other without any user intervention.
Different methods of API:

GET: Retrieve information about the REST API resource
POST: Create a REST API resource
PUT: Update a REST API resource
DELETE: Delete a REST API resource or related component

Basic response status code:

200: Successful
401: Unauthorized(Failed)
