and context about merg, he is a really popular youtuber in the undertale comunnity, so one day the internet discovered that verbalase spended 50k for an animation about charlie from hazbin hotel chasing him and being in love with him, this, became a meme, and then at same time merg started playing ts!underswap a really good fangame, and when he got to muffet he titled the video as "gonna spend 50.000 on her" he already made jokes with muffet like this but from that video it became a meme that merg has a thing for muffet, and he kept making jokes about that, but even more after that XD

Honestly, it’s so jarring how there was a high chance Muffet wouldn’t have even existed. She’s possibly the MOST popular mini-boss in the game after all. And she’s generally just one of the characters that everyone’s aware of.

I don’t even like her that much myself, (Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew will always be my favorite mini-boss.) and even I know this game would feel weird without that little spider section that includes her.
