How to get VLog L on your GH4 for FREE!! (New Method!)

*UPDATE*
The GMonitor App from Google Play no longer works, you need to find the older version from a third party website.

DISCLAIMER:
This ONLY works on GH4 Firmware 2.3
I included a link below to the 2.3 firmware because Panasonic removed it from their website.
if you are on a version lower than 2.3, VLOG does not exist, you need to update to 2.3.
If you are on 2.4 or higher, you CAN NOT downgrade to 2.3, you can ONLY get VLOG by purchasing an unlock code from Panasonic.

RECAP!
1.0 to 2.2, you MUST update to 2.3 using the .bin file I provided below, use Gmonitor to exploit VLOG for free, save your profiles, never update firmware again.
2 4 or higher, purchase the unlock code from Panasonic. There's no other option.

Panasonic GH4 2.3 firmware download

1) Download the Panasonic Image App from the play store
2) Set up a wifi connection to the GH4 with that app
3) Download GMonitor from the Play Store
4) Open GMonitor and let it automatically connect to the GH4 once you made a connection with the Panasonic Image App
5) Select the third drop down menu at the top and change the profile to V-Log L
6) On the GH4, hit the menu button, go to the "Motion Picture Menu" (top red camera icon)
7) Select "Photo Style" which should say V-Log L
8) Select "DISP.Save" and save the V-Log L profile as a custom profile
9) You now have V-Log L profile saved to the camera as the custom profile to use at any time, even without the app.

Note:
If you do not have the "Motion Picture Menu", you need to turn the mode dial on the top of your GH4 to video mode (the camera icon with M beside it)

Just so you know, I think this has been patched in the 1.6.0 update of the app as this is what's stated in the version history on the app store...

- changed behaviour of color palette icon: now displaying dialog to select color profile. If a color profile is not available on a Lumix device it will default to standard. (to enbale V-Log you must purchase the key from Panasonic).

In case anyone was planning on getting the app just for V-Log alone
