How to stream on Twitch in 2025 for total beginners! (PS4/PS5)

This video quality is CRUNCHY but I swear the info is some of the best out there!
Too many of the explanations I saw out there were unnecessarily complicated, so here's the simplest info for beginners.
Some friends have asked me about this lately, so I thought I'd make a video to help newbie streamers get started streaming PS4 or PS5 games on Twitch!

I'll go first! I'm Klepto, and my username is kleptoyade over on Twitch! I've been streaming The Last of Us, Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth! I'm a cosplayer too and sometimes I stream in cosplay.
I often play games in Japanese and talk about them in mostly English, so I have a pretty niche audience, but if that's something you're interested in, come hang out!

Thank you for this, can I use my Sony plus 3d headset for my mic and headphones? I thought you can stream straight from the PlayStation without a capture card.

You can stream off directly from the console Ps5 and ps4 I believe excluding the Xbox one also Xbox series x & s

I'm knew to streaming on twitch through my PS5 but I recently got OBS on my laptop and want to use it for streaming twitch but I don't know how to set it up to where when I stream and I'm in party chat I can hear my friends and so can the stream.

I have ps5, tv, laptop with obs, a capture card, wired headset with a mic, a mount mic with usb cord, and hdmi cords.

Again I'm knew to this so any help would be very much appreciated 🙏.

I'm just starting out and I had a question on this third party software. Can't yoy just use it to set up your twitch one time, then stream from PS5?
