0:50 - that's like the ultimate key to his work...the little wheat shaft representing a figure against a greater expanse.

Most, if not ALL these “talking heads” are talking BS.
They are talking around his message. . . being PC.
This artist was not just a colorist or thinking of using jagged edges as some kind of stupid design motif.
His personality tells it all . . . he was “effin” mad with America’s BS and the art community at large.
Rothko, compared to Still was/is a wus.
Rothko has nothing to say, besides colors that matches one’s new sofa, and he knew it, then committed suicide knowing he was going no where intellectually or psychologically with his work.
These critics can make sh _it up for a kindergartner’s finger painting. They are no more than copywriters to sell merchandise. . . to make money. Spewing out “intellectual-speak, ” having no real substance. Revered as art critics, yet dead as a door nail on the inside.

I'll bet my two year old can make better finger paint art than this guy. I'll have to put it on the market and eventually have a children's art museum
