How to refinish cherry wood table tops

These solid cherry tables were in decent shape, except for the tops! I needed to redo the tops, stain them to match the rest of the piece, and seal them. Total working time was only a few hours but the whole project spanned about two days because of dry times of the products used.

As always, please be advised that my videos are not so much tutorials as they are just sharing what I do. Research any products before using them and carefully read manufacturers directions.

Wow. Beauties, as always. I have a cherry French Provential style chest of drawers that I bought at an estate sale 4 years ago sitting in my garage. Thank for this video! My daughter and I are planning to refinish the tables that my husband and I bought when we furnished our first home 40 years ago. We were just discussing how the tops of the tables needed some work, but we didn't want to bother the legs and sides. We will give this a try and thanks again!

I actually like the lighter shade especially since it seems to almost match the small piece of trim below the drawer and you can see the woodgrain. I think the tables are more beautiful than when they were new! 😁💖👍
