Once a spark plug misfires, a carbon track is created to ground and even though its cleaned, that carbon track will be a default path for the spark to travel because its easier than jumping an air gap. Rule of thumb is once a plug, plug wire, distributor cap or magneto cap causes a misfires, replace it because it will always be prone to doing so !

This is easily one of the most impressive episodes to date. Jimmy, you have utterly redeemed yourself and I think I speak for hundreds of others when I say "well done Captain" you deserve a serious round of applause.

Love the channel Jimmy. As an Airforce veteran, from Australia, I’m particularly touched by the work you’ve been doing for your veterans. 🇦🇺

The best scene is at the end. Nothing like having family greet you with open arms, after a long journey. You have been blessed.

Jimmy! What an inspiration! The shot in the arm I needed.

Quick story. I've got a 310 that hasn't flown in years. Dad passed away last year. I've gotten 2 other airplanes sold and flown. Now the 310 which has been in our lives for over 25 years. I've got a lot to do and I'm hopeful I can get it going. Letting it go after letting the others go would be too much. I owe it to my dad's legacy to get his baby back in the air again. It's our generation's turn to grab the baton and run this leg of keeping the old birds flying.

I can’t believe I sat and watched a YouTube video for almost an hour and a half. This was one of your best ever. Really enjoyed it from start to finish.

That is a remote control panel for a older mitsubishi RF series inverter which are commonly known as a vfd or variable frequency drive which are used as soft starters and speed controllers for electric motors.

Stumbled on this after watching the attempted rescue of a B29 from Greenland. Never flown a plane before but I have a huge passion for aviation especially older planes. Kudos to you on your adventure with your son!

Better to watch than every reality show in the TV. Keep the good work going!

This video was already a 10 for me. That Juan Browne cameo made it an 11 🍺 And as a student pilot myself, I could listen to that Captain tell stories for another hour easy

Best episode ever. Love the attention to detail with the engines. See.. Oily spark plugs are not so bad. Most 310 owners I chatted with say don't use 12 quarts of oil the engines just spit out 3 of them very quickly. 3000 miles at 8 miles a gallonseems So less than 400 gallons at less than 8 bucks a gallon figure to less than cheaper than 2400 for fuel one way.... That is a sense of economy in less than 4 days.
We 310 owners love our planes...notice it doesn't sound like sky King. It really humms.
Glad you can throw 104 k at a 310... I'm trying to doing at less than 2k a month. Love your work... This episode made you look smarter than many before... I have much more respect for your efforts after watching it. Thank and..SAVE THE 310!

Great watching the seller getting his hands dirty with Jimmy. They both love this stuff. Gotta love the authenticity of this.

Got my multi in a 1956 310B quite awhile ago. I’m highly envious that you have this fantastic piece of aviation history.
Haven’t flown a piston airplane for years only turbines but I would gladly never take another hour in a King Air if I
could fly that whenever I wanted! Well done!

Thank you Jimmy. The 2008 financial theft /dump affected me as well. Had to quit flying that year because of the complete loss of assets etc. tgat said, now at 75 I am doing well. Living comfortable and less stressed than ever. HOWEVER I still have the desire to fly. As such I thank you for allowing me to experience our ‘love’ vicariously through you. Stay well my friend.

You really need to rename this project “Save “A” 310”. Not sure how you are finding every available 310 left on the planet. Great job as usual. Can I get a “Clear Prop”. Love this channel.

That 310 is a truly beautiful airplane and I'm so glad it's a "flyer" and you were able to get it all the way to Florida without (much) incident. I hope you leave it bare metal and can't wait to see it polished up and glowing shiny like American Airlines jets used to be.
