I'd attach some interchangeable additional parts from the side like a pen/pencil container or tool holding attachments.

You definitly need handels for the Containers or maybe just something to Grab it easier

Make each layer dis attachable so people can only print what they need and customize! ex In case you don't need batteries or just need batteries

Perhaps add drawers with click in latches? If you’re in a work truck or something a turn might open them and cause a mess. Adding those buttons (push in to lock, push again to open) and a spring might make them, or at least some of the modules better for some circumstances

Add 3d printable pins that can be attached to other parts that the community can create

Add a spot for hanging pliers or side cutter, on the front end of an added shelf on the bottom for wall hanging.

I would add a part on top and bottom so you can make more and stack them on top of eachother and lock them in place*
