I think YOUTUBE should be held accountable that they not only give these abusers a platform to show off their abuse but pay them!!!-I wish there was some concrete action that could be taken.

EVERY baby monkey you see in these videos was taken off of it's mother. When the people begin their videos the monkey are always the age where they should be clinging to their mother and nursing. This means the mother was either murdered or they've come from a farm where the mothers give birth and the baby is ripped off of her in a matter of days after being born. The fake videos that are made showing 'baby monkey rescues" are complete and total bullshit and they are horribly insulting to any viewer's intelligence. I have watched these videos but I don't any longer once I became educated. I was fooled more than once into thinking that they were good people caring for an orphan monkey. Everyone, please spread the word about the lack of humanity and the cruelty and deception of these channels.

its annoying the way people are completely taken in by them, they write comments to the monkeys professing their love for them meanwhile the so called loving owners are laughing all the way to the bank. Bibi and kaka are prime examples

Thanks for taking up this cause; The Tube is useless when it comes to policing their content, they only react when something is borderline criminal, and even reprimand viewers for reporting too frequently. Social media need to be held accountable, because the channel operators will continue as long as they make money. It is absolutely vital to contact animal welfare organisations such as the smaccoalition and animal rescue organisations in the respective countries as they have more options to put pressure on social media. It would thus be super helpful if you uploaded a video presenting these orgs and how they can be contacted, and maybe also if it makes sense to contact the brands which have commercials played on those channels, and find out if they are aware of it. I'll copy the URL to your videos into the comment sections as I do with the smaccoalition but most often my comments get deleted by the channel operators.

By the way the first monkey that you showed being bought-the one in the cage-came from the Monkey Sinsin channel-that monkey mysteriously died about a month ago-he had a very unclear video of "burying" it-and the remaining monkey-Sinsin-"mourning" for his little sister-it's all despicable.

Advertisers should be held accountable, too. I've taken note and boycott those advertisers. However, I believe writing to the businesses might be more effective.

Thank you for your post. I started watching YouTube about three months ago when I became bedridden. I am healing from a broken ankle. I started watching a lot of of the monkey channels and noticed a lot of abuse. The exploited monkey, monkey sentinel and monkey mercy started coming up in my feed so I started watching them. I have since unsubscribed to all but four of the monkey channels. The four of them I do watch treat their baby monkeys with a lot of love, and there are no signs of abuse. I have reported several of them, but YouTube does nothing about it. In the report button, there is not a place to click animal abuse and they should really have one of those and pay more attention. People say they just get new channels when their abuse channels are deleted so YouTube needs to block out their IP address so they cannot upload another channel. That’s just my opinion. You tube should ban all monkey videos when they are striving to make income off these videos. 9/10 videos are of people who could care less about the animal they now have in their possession. If they were banned it would stop the poaching of the animals for profit.

A monkey owner said he was blocked from YouTube due to animal abuse. He said he did not know what abuse was seen.
He started a new channel with his monkey.
