my main goal with this painting was to create more contrast with the values because i know i tend to keep my art very bright and shy away from very dark shadows, and i think it leads to a lack of visual depth and dimension in my art.
challenging myself was pretty fun and also frustrating at times, but i was satisfied with the end result and i think i learned a lot! one of the things i love most about making art is that i'm constantly learning new things and growing, that's why i love challenging my shortcomings so much because the breakthroughs are so satisfying!
