I mean, you gotta admit, the ocean is definitely in need of some life and I'm glad that Mojang finally took that into consideration. I'm also excited for the trident and such, but I'm a little worried about the new water physics. It could potentially end up ruining dozens of water-related redstone contraptions and other things.

Does everything in a game _have_ to have a purpose? A little ambiance goes a long way in a game. If pigs, sheep, and cows didn't drop food, they'd still be nice to have in the game purely for the "they give life to the game" factor. Same goes for Villagers if they didn't have trades. Just because something is "useless" in the eyes of some people, doesn't mean it's not something to put into the game. You're gonna have people that don't like some things, but you'll probably have more people who actually do like it.

They should make dolphins tameable and rideable. Having a mob mount for water would be hella cool.

I want better dive physics. Like pointing downwards when diving and diving faster than just sinking slowly. Also faster swimming with better animations.

they shouldnt add only things that are 'useful', they should add stuff to make the game feel more alive (talking about mobs), it shouldnt bother you if dolphins are useless, they will be a great addition to the game, and in my opinion, they should add many other animals aswell.

I can't talk much, because I don't use redstone a lot... but what happened to people getting excited about discovering new ways to play the game? In my opinion, it sounds like there's too much focus on old methods, and not enough excitement to play with a new toy, so-to-speak. The new features are great, just find new ways to make those all important farming systems. You can always load older versions if you really hate discovering new things regarding the Aquatic update for redstone.
Essentially, this water thing is just changing to the point of what was probably intended all those years ago. The water physics of today were only as they were because they hadn't gotten to that point in their coding yet. Water should not stop flowing against an object that is 50% air.

-Whether something is used a lot or not doesn't really matter. There's always going to be people that absolutely love and want to explore everything. Shipwrecks specifically add atmosphere to an otherwise empty dish. Worrying about the shipwreck being used is a small factor. I, personally think it's great, just to see some new content and something cool to explore, whether the 'loot' is worth it or not.

People have been worried about every update, and every time it's been fine. I don't see how this time Mojang could manage to screw it up. People have been remaking redstone contraptions every update since its release. This would certainly break a lot of things (hopefully not AFK fishing), but it'll be fine.

For some nature loving people like me this is very exiting. But most small kids and pvp’ers think so bad about this while it coud be so great! You coud make and underwater house and light up in the water a bit with sea laterns and have an amazing base! Have some fish under your feet between glass and your trident ready for intruders. Dont think too much and enjoy the beauty minecraft has given us.
