Gentle Exercises for Back Pain Relief // Floor Stretches for a Sore Back

Find instant relief from your back pain with these yoga and pilates inspired exercises. You will feel so much better after performing these stretches on the mat. Make sure to go nice and slow and really breath deep allowing the muscles to relax in order to get the full benefits from these gentile movements.
You will get the best results are done frequently, at least a few times a week. If you are not comfortable doing all of the movements, just do what you can. For example, there is one exercise on our hands and knees. If that is uncomfortable for you, then just skip that one.

This workout saved my back this winter! I pulled something (a muscle?) in the hip area on one side while away from home, i.e. no access to my trusted physical therapists. I resorted to epsom salt bath, OTC creams and OTC pain meds without much relief. After following someone else's back pain w/o (someone I trust) and still no relief, I discovered that you had this workout. Thank goodness!!! It became my morning go-to and finally, after a week or so, I was able to start hiking again. I continued this workout and now, if I feel any twinge I go back to doing it until there are results. The only exercise I would not recommend when experiencing back pain in the reverse crunch. All the others seem perfect. Thanks a million Lauren!

After a busy summer of home projects, I needed to see my chiropractor. Your workouts have helped me so much and my chiropractor noticed as I was easily adjusted. He said keep doing what you’re doing. I’m following up with this workout and others of yours. These stretching exercises work best for me as they also work the abs :). Please keep them coming!

This really helped my lower back release and stretch taking away my discomfort as my lower back was feeling tweaky. Have saved this video as it's a good preventative measure to ensure I look after my back and keep it supple. Thank you

Well that was a surprise and perfect timing Ms. Lauren. Been moving wet sod for two days and digging dirt so my back so loved this TLC. HA HA so at 4:43 I say pretty loud back at the video "You Do You" and my husband passing outside the closed door is like "Who you be talking to?"

thanks Lauren, yes, things are pretty tough in the healthcare field at present - but I find exercising before work and stretching/meditation before bed, helps me deal with what goes on in the middle of the day! :)...looking forward to working out with you again soon. Noela

I can’t start my day without this stretch I wake up with a stiff lower back and neck. And I’ve also started doing your weekly workouts they have really helped with balance and coordination. I’m 54 yrs old and never exercised before thank you so much and keep them videos coming
