It doesn't quite look like this anymore so you have to search for the exe that's hidden in one of the game's folders...but it fixed my problem. Bioshock had no sound unless I plugged in a headset with a microphone, but my headset is really uncomfortable so that wasn't working well for me. The sound is working for me now that I made the game compatible with XP. Yay!

Thank you for making this helpful video. Something annoying about Steam. Steam does not have a shortcut over using Windows Compatibility mode.

I am using STEAM on MAC via WINE and when I go to "Browse my files", Windows looks like Win32 or XP, not like WIndows 10 and when I right click and go to properties there are no options mentioned below, just OK, Cancel and Apply buttons. What should I do?

If you have everything unchecked already and you don't know how to disable comp-mode:

1. Windows+R (run) - Type in 'regedit'
2. Click your way to
3. Delete the entry for 'steam.exe'
4. Restart your computer and it will be disabled
