FORD TAURUS - How to Create / Delete Ford MyKey (2013 - 2019)

Tutorial video on how to enable or disable Ford MyKey on Ford Taurus sedan. In this video I am talking about what Ford MyKey is, all the restrictions and options you can set up and how to use it. ( 2013 | 2014 | 2015 | 2016 | 2017 | 2018 | 2019 | SE | SEL | LIMITED | AWD | 3.5L ).
MyKey allows you to program keys with restricted vehicle modes that promote good driving habits. It is very useful in case you want to make sure your child doesn't drive over the speed limit or listen to music loud which could distract him.
Here are some of the features you can configure:
- You can set a vehicle speed limit
- You can set various vehicle speed minders
- Audio system can be set to a maximum volume of 44%
- You can enable the always on setting for Advance Trac ,911 Assist and the do not disturb feature
- You can set seatbelt reminder
To set Ford MyKey follow this steps:
1. Start the vehicle
2. Using the menu buttons on the left side of the steering wheel scroll through the menu and select Settings. then select MyKey and Create MyKey
3. Insert the key you want to set as MyKey into the Backup slot inside the middle console
4. This process will create new Ford MyKey and you can set all restrictions in the menu on the instrument cluster
5. In case you decide to remove MyKey you will have to start the vehicle using the Admin key and insert Admin key into the Backup slot
