12 can also be expressed as (4-(4/4))*4, without the squareroot.

God danmit, I had to give up on 11 and 13 after an hour of thinking! (though I did everything else) These are indeed very challenging, but now I feel disappointed in myself :(

That just means I have to solve one of your other hard puzzles! ;)
