this a lot man! Came looking for exactly this on YT, and found it in your video, which was extremely short and to the point. You've just got another sub out of me. Thanks again.

Thank you! Very clear and super helpful. The manual is pitched more to trained audio professionals at least in the lingo. I know this procedure is in there somewhere but it is disguised in the audio-speak.

Thank you so much for this! I'm about to shoot a low budget (no budget) indie movie and I'll be using the H6. I want the audio to be very crisp. I was planning on having the dialogue recorded in mono, while the music will be in stereo. I definitely won't need surround sound for this movie, lol. Stereo will be just fine. Again, thank you for this!

Does this work the same for xy channel? I’m trying to get the left and right speaker to work with a line out cord, but I can only hear from the left

Amazing! Do you know how to do the same on Zoom h8?

Thanks! No one explains this on any tutorial for the h5...or I guess h6. But I don't know why this isn't default. The majority of mics are mono and the majority of people will be using is alone so why not have this default and then go into the menu to change it if needed

Question, can I just click 1and 2 simultaneously to combine them? Will that make it a stereo even though the I only plug in Xlr mic into 1?

Question, in post editing, would you have two separate audio wave for each person?

You still end up with a mono recording. What if I want one mic to go to the left channel and another Mike to go to the right channel on the same track. I don’t wanna plug two cables in. I’ve got to Mike’s going to the same receiver, but one of them is going to the right channel I want is going to the left. Now when I plug that into the h6, it records it as mono. I cannot change the level of one without changing the level of the other.

How do I create a stereo recording from a stereo pick up. I’ve got one side going to the left channel I’m going to the right but it still comes in as mono. I’m not able to separate them.

My Zoom H6 menu under INPUT/OUTPUT only goes down to VU Meter, doesn't offer MSMatrix option.
