I guess my question is, is it penalizing folks with good credit scores more, or is it giving a discount/perk to those with lower credit scores? Maybe it’s semantics, but are they going to tack an extra percent to people with good credit, or is it more that you’ll qualify for a lower percentage at a worse credit score? We were estimated at 7% for a house we’re closing in August (hopefully). Are we all of a sudden going to get an 8% mortgage rate, or is it just that we could qualify for a lower rate if we had a lower credit score?

How can I find out when these lives are happening? And how can I ask questions like the ones they're answering here?

Your take on buying a home with a cesspool. Needs a new roof, electrical & plumbing. Seller is not being transparent. It’s California and $265, 000

Also, my credit score is good, 750s. Should I start making minimum payment on my credit card so my credit score will go down and to save up more cash for a down payment?

Settling allows the rest of it to be sent as income for taxes though. Cancelled debt.

I really appreciate your videos. My daughter is trying to buy her first home. She’s being offered a “middle income down payment assistance grant.” They said if she comes up with 10K. The grant will give her 50K to use towards the house anyway she wants. She could sell the house the next month and not owe the grant any money. The grant is though FHL Bank San Francisco. Is this too good to be true? I can’t find a lot of information on this. We did meet with the loan officer. I just don’t want her to loose all her money. TYIA
