National Anthem

This version of the National Anthem is distinct for its layered harmony of voices. The search for harmony led me to the North East, on the recommendation of Arjun Sen, a long-time colleague at work and in music. The North East abounds in talent and skill and Arjun, or AJ, suggested the Serenity Choir from Shillong to bring alive what we had in mind.

We shot the video with the singers of the choir in their Khasi outfits, along with other singers, in Guwahati. The track enthused all those on the set, both in front and behind the camera.

We hope this version breaks through barriers of orientation, region and age, and touches you as it did us!

So really very sad and painful that in our National anthem nothing was mentioned about our Northeast inthe song....from Punjaba Sindhu Gujarata Maratha Vindhya Himachala banga nothing was mentioned about Northeast....why? why? It's high time that some lyrics in our national anthem should be added to include us, the North East
It's high time that we start now so as to get a place in our 74th Independence Day Celebration next year....Let's hope some one or maybe the collective efforts of the Northeast States' govts to the Center would bring fruits/justifications we highly deserve since we are an integral part of our motherland India....
