Luigi Mangione, the man suspected of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, appeared in court Tuesday for an extradition hearing.

Authorities say Mangione is fighting his extradition to New York and will remain jailed at SCI Huntingdon, with his bail denied.

Mangione was videoed yelling at media while being escorted into the Blair County courthouse.

He reportedly made statements about being "out of touch" and that his arrest was "an insult to the intelligence of the American people."

Investigators say prosecutors now have 30 days to file for a governor's warrant to speed up the extradition process.

“Denied balied”?

Come on ABC. I know everyone is in a rush to get these updates out before the next network/channel, but a little proofreading goes a long way.

I am not American and thus don't know much about the law but why wouldn't he want to be tried in NY? Stricter laws? Death Penalty? Just curious. Thanks.

I'm wondering if he will do jail time in Pennsylvania for the gun charges in that state 🤔
