How to Keep Xiao's Mask On! | Genshin Impact

NOTE:
This glitch currently works in Version 2.5. If you see this in the future and it doesn't work, it was probably patched.

Xiao will lose his mask under the following conditions:
-Xiao uses his Elemental Burst again.
-You switch to a party without Xiao then switch to one with him.
-You teleport between maps (e.g, in and out of buildings, between Teyvat, Enkanomiya, Serenitea Pot, etc...)
-(Have not tested) You log out and back in.
-(Have not tested) Xiao falls.

He will not lose his mask if you switch characters within the same party.

Considering the fact that Xiao is in my friendship EXP party (for commissions), I enjoy doing this for fun from time to time.

I recently got the inspiration to make this video because I'd known about the glitch a long time before. The only reason I'm revealing this to the public is because I felt it was a minor enough glitch to where it wouldn't be a big deal to patch out. However, something even bigger is in the works in the world of Genshin Impact glitches, something that I hope will be worthy of adding to my list of full videos.

My motivation for both video making and most things in my life has been dwindling a lot lately. I have been diagnosed with clinical depression, however I'm not sure if the lows I've been feeling are due to something environmental that I can change or due to a chemical imbalance. I recently made some changes to my medication, and hopefully this will help me get to the bottom of the underlying issue. I hope to become more motivated and make more content. I haven't forgotten about my channel!

I hate it when this happens whenever I switch between characters cause I'll quickly press q and then switch thinking it's a different character and then I go back to Xiao and see he's wearing a mask and I'm like I JUST RUINED HIS ELEMENTAL BURST THINKING I WAS USING NOELLE (Cause you can use Noelle's burst real quick and switch to a random character and fight and then go back and her glowy claymore is still there for her)

this basically works for any type of interruption of the burst, especially if your game is kinda slow or laggy
i sometimes try to switch to another character to do their burst quickly, but it doesn't switch quick enough so by the time i press q, xiao gets his mask and changes to the character who's burst i actually meant to use

It happened to me some time ago, i think it was in v2.6 even, and that mask came off only when i went to the teapot

for me the mask stays on even if i teleport :D
