How Does Visual Expert Conduct Static Code Analysis?

Learn how Visual Expert performs static code analysis to provide impact analysis, generate diagrams, crud matrix, and code review reports for PowerBuilder, Oracle and SQL Server code. Visual Expert reads your code and stores a detailed description in its repository. Then developers can query this repository to analyze the code on the screen, or generate source code documentation.

A Visual Expert configuration is composed of 3 key components:
- The Visual Expert software itself, including the code parsers
- The Visual Expert console that provides graphical features
- The documentation generator

All the components can run locally on a developer PC. The Visual Expert software, the repository, and the Scheduler can also be installed on a server to analyze large volumes of code and use collaborative features. Watch the video for detailed understanding.
