This individual granted freedom to his country, but was assassinated by his own military. Seventeen members of his family, including women and children, were killed in the attack. Now, people in the country are disrespecting his legacy by urinating on his statue and vandalizing it. It is truly a shameful and tragic act.

okay let me answer your question . first of all let me clear one thing that the protest wasn"t initiated by any political parties . yes at one point they tried to intervene . but the mass protestors were mostly students . and the thing about breaking bangabadhus statue . there could be certain reasons you could consider . undoubtedly sheikh mujib was the ultimate leader of liberation war, the war hero who played the most important role in setting bangladesh free in 1971 .though there are some debate on some of his political decision taken during 1972-1975. But then why are people raging against him? well the blame goes to awami league and its student section chatra leaugue .cause throughout this 15 years of oppression awami leaugue has created such an image of mujib that it led to this rage . awami league was kind of obsessed with mujib . their moto was like we inherit the ideals of mujib .it was usual of them to use mujibs name several times while giving a public speech. things went at a level that if someone spoke highly of mujib people would inherently just him being corrupted and a supporter of awami league. before every act of exploitation, deprivation and injustice awami league and chatra leauge would the name of sheikh mujib. it might seem silly to you but here the same thing was done for 15 years constantly .this gradually gave birth to a hidden hatred inside people. outcome of this inherited concentrated hatred was the rage of 5 augusts rage and vandalism .

another potential reason of this incidence could be,
almost 90% of the peoples in bangladesh are muslim . and country should never do something that is against the ideals of any religion . one thing to notice that creating statues(except if its related to another religion) is completely prohibited in islam. so before asking why people are breaking these statues you will have to peek on how this statues were made . while there was a proposal of these statues people actually protested in mass numbers against the proposal . but the dictator government didnt pay heed to any of that . hence its not surprising at all that people broke those statues .also you need to consider that at that tim e time people were at a heightened state of emotion .since it was independence at last. its likely of them to do something out of their own accord, the vandalism.
hope you"ve got your answer.

We Myanmar people hate our military dictators very much for their six decades long rule in Myanmar but we will never touch the statutes of General Aung San who is the Father of Modern Myanmar and military.... he holds a respectable place in our hearts and what later generations of army generals did had nothing to do with him... we believed 😊

The coordinators are responsible for the deaths and financial losses that occurred during the quota movement. They had a premeditated plan to overthrow the government under the guise of the quota movement. They needed casualties to inflame the situation and turn public opinion, both domestically and internationally, against the government.
On the other hand, the government's priority was to restore peace and stability by addressing the demands of the protesters. Initially, the government responded slowly, but as the situation worsened, they accepted the demands to calm the unrest.
However, instead of expressing satisfaction, the coordinators continued to raise more demands. They feared losing public support and control over the movement, so they intensified their activities with slogans like "Why did my brother die?" and demanded the release of those detained. They knew that the government would not release those who had damaged important national properties without a thorough investigation. But, investigating the arrested individuals would potentially reveal deeper conspiracies.
The coordinators exploited the emotions of ordinary students by amplifying the slogan "Why did my brother die? We demand answers." They knew that the government would take strict action to restore order. The coordinators then placed the students in harm's way, knowing that the more casualties occurred, the more pressure the government would be. Those with weapons would respond with force to control the situation, while those without weapons would use tactics to achieve their goals. However, the students did not take advantage of the opportunities provided by the government. This is because the true intent of the coordinators was not to fulfill the demands or ensure the safety of the students but to create casualties and use them to bring down the government.
This was a pre-planned attempt to overthrow the government, as evidenced by Donald Lu's recent meeting with these so-called student leaders during his visit to Dhaka. None of these so-called coordinators are actually students; they all completed their studies at universities in 2017-2018! These individuals are connected to the notorious Yunus group, and they have been directly funded by American financial aid, with support from Pakistan's ISI, the war criminal alliance of Jamaat/B.N.P., Yunus, and the traitorous former army chief, to forcibly remove the legitimate Prime Minister of the country.
The people of Bangladesh are now well aware of the deceit these individuals have used to mislead everyone. No matter how much they try, they will not be able to deceive the people of this country as they once did. This is the reality.
