The most important point in this talks starts at 14:47, great for the speaker to have recognized that.

We CAN continue to assume because each year that passes those people uncomfortable with tech get older and die. It sounds morbid but it's true. Thankfully, my dad had me messing around with the commodore 64 from the time I was little. Even still its hard to keep up unless you want to live on Github :P

Most people just wont use helmets, check Samsar's massive faillure, and they already had the customers from their Second Life to move all in, people wont use helmets, even after trying them

Nope, this is wrong. VR is too ahead of it's time.
Not all people will be able to afford the graphics requirement of VR.
Too nerdy a craze this talks wants people to patronize. Just a principle in life: Remember that nerds are the first ones to patronize trade which have shady roots and don't care whether they's incentivising criminally exploitive markets that are hyped. And with these times when big players like Mark Zucc's facebook is untrustworthy why then patronize such new platforms they're getting at (when those same untrustworthy players want something, that thing would only definitely mean a very bad thing) instead we all take a retreat, a step back to wait for clearance until those fields and platforms are surely immaculate andpretty much worked out. Especially beware if this is another of those IT things that idolizes anarchy and wanna expel government regulation like what's happening with crypto that has no physical things like gold backing up their currency. And we see how nerdy people are the first ones to obsessively incentize such anarchic otherworldly realm and, thus, encourage a culture of unlimited şcams in crypto.
