One of the featured books is upside down. Is that because there's something off about it's characters? Or did I neglect to correct the footage? 😱🙃 We may never know...

Thank you for the recommendations. I love the way you shoot and edit your videos. So calm and elegant, it makes the books look so inviting. Definitely a winner. 😀

My favorite Women's Prize winner is also my favorite book of all times, "Piranesi" by Susanna Clarke. Thank you for the video. I added a few of the recommended books on my list.

Wow! Great list! Just added: room, the bees, the mermaid and Mrs hancock, the power, the signature of all things, and we need to talk about Kevin. Don’t know how I’ve overlooked these titles, but your beautiful descriptions wants me to read them now ASAP! Thank you!

I only started following the WP in the last few years so it was very surprising to me how many books I had read that were nominated/won at some point! I've added Sport of Kings to my TBR, that looks like such an interesting book. I've just finished How to Say Babylon from the longlist and really enjoyed it. I listened to it on audiobook (read by the author!) and it was a really great read. I hope it's a winner for you too!

just typed in your name on a whim, not even expecting you to show up -- and you're BACK! This is great! Welcome back!

Bandit Queens is the one I decided to pick up.

Great video, Hannah! Such a winner. Showing the books as you talked gave life to the descriptions.

In January, I decided to revisit some Women's Prize winners from the past and picked up a few at my local used book store. One of them was We Need to Talk About Kevin. Two others I picked up were Piranesi and Song of Achilles. I also just received a copy of Demon Copperhead from a friend.

Like you, I'm excited for the 2024 long list to be announced!

Welcome back!! So nice to see you back on booktube 😊Demon Copperhead and Pod are now must reads in my reading year. All the Light We Cannot See has been sitting on my shelf unread for quite a while - might be time to get to it! I ordered the Summer That Melted Everything too. Thank you for the recommendations!

I enjoyed this video and I love the beautiful copies of the books you show us. My favourites include Milkman (fortunately the Booker came good with this one), How to be Both, Wolf Hall, The Blind Assassin, Fingersmith and a Girl is a Half-formed Thing.

Thank you for the history of the Women's Prize. I have added both books by Angela Carter to my TBR. Also, great B-Roll! I loved oogling all your beautiful hardcover books.

So many wonderful books here! Oh, The Bandit Queens! But call me surprised: I didn't realize that Gone Girl had been nominated for the prize. I hate that we haven't had another book from her because I enjoyed all three of her novels. I also loved The Signature of All Things--I wish more people realized what a beautiful writer Gilbert is. I've had Alias Grace sitting unread on my shelf for far too long. The Sport of Kings is probably my favorite here--even after making the prize list I think it was criminally underread. It lost to The Power, didn't it? I agree it should have been the WINNER. Thank you so much for the kind words about my channel! I'm so happy you're back on booktube!

I'm hoping Julia 1984 is on the list .
I have added Alias Grace to my wish list, and you reminded me of books I already have that have been on the previous list that I still need to read .
