Trump doubles down on government shutdown threat

The president will be in Florida Tuesday stumping for Republican candidates ahead of the November midterm elections. At a White House news conference Monday with the Italian prime minister, President Trump renewed his threat to shut down the government. He also said he would be willing to meet with Iran's president without preconditions. Weijia Jiang reports.

How is this going to help fund the wall? Last time I checked a slap on the wrist is all this amounts to. Plus, the Republican Party despite their vocal support of the president and his policies are not willing to put down the money for the wall nor can they in the span of time it takes for a government shutdown to both take effect and conclude.
