There basically frying Christopher Reeves mind to see what he's hidding in this scene. If they would had stop he wouldn't had been the same.That's why I love this scene the kids using all there powers at level 100 plus we get to see there Alien faces.

What's interesting is that the character David in the 1960 version is the dominating child. In this version, he's not as influenced by the other kids.

This is the first movie I ever recall watching. I was probably around 5 or 6 years old. My grandmother let me rent it from a vhs/tape store in town. That said, this was the first time I’ve watched the movie in 28 years and I so vividly recall everything about it. The eye doctor scene. It’s funny because I couldn’t understand at the time the storyline as I was too young. This scene I didn’t understand the first and only time I watched it as well. Christopher Reeve ended up breaking his neck falling off a horse very soon after this movie, and I can so vividly recall my mother telling me at the time. Those feelings in your gut associated with what I’m feeling right now are so incredible. Nostalgic, yet horrifying, yet comforting.
