We have those pedestrian buttons over here in Ireland as well, among others. Someone must have been really impatient with this particular button though 😂

Thats a solid metal casted cover plate! Yo thats crazy how they broke that cover plate off???? Those things are super strong Its almost impossible to brake. Must have used a bat or something. Thats crazy

All over Australia these are not just Melbourne, and yes I have wondered. Shit I remember when they installed these back in the early 90s round our town I must have been 8 - 10 I think. For the blind they are if anyone was wondering.
